"LET THE PEACE OF GOD RULE IN YOUR HEARTS"
Col.3:15
As the whole Christian world celebrates the Resurrection of our Lord, this
year there is a greater appreciation of the price that was paid to purchase our
redemption. As millions have come face to face with the reality of the
sufferings of Christ through the movie "The Passion of the Christ", we
have also come face to face with the horribleness of sin and the depth of the
love of God for lost humanity. It is because of that love that we can have the
peace of God ruling in our hearts. Experiencing that love in a new way makes it
easier to want to share that love with others.
We have spent most of March on the road across America sharing God’s love
and His greatness with many wonderful Brothers and Sisters in Christ. What a
blessing to worship together and encourage one another in our walk with the Lord
as we see His hand at work around the world. We so appreciate each one of you as
you stand with us through your prayers and your faithful giving to this
ministry. As we have waited patiently for the Lord and allowed His peace to rule
in our hearts regardless of the circumstances, He has supplied every need. He is
the God of more than enough. He always provides what we need when we need it and
He usually does it through you, our faithful partners.
Through your faithful prayers, God has opened tremendous doors for us on
Mindanao. We will be leaving soon to return there for the month of May. What
opportunities await us! The first week in May, we will be ministering in a youth
camp where 1,000+ teens from all over the island will gather together to seek
the Lord. After that we will be speaking at two pastors’ conferences – one
in South Cotobato, an area that is predominantly Muslim, and the other in Davao
del Norte. Following that, we hope to speak at a Family Conference in a tribal
area. We will then finish up with a Peace Convention where 250 tribal chieftains
are expected to gather to hear God’s Word.
Only God can provide such opportunities to share His great love with so many
hurting people. These tribal people do not have the financial resources to pay
for food, lodging, and transportation to attend such gatherings. So the
financial burden falls on us. We know that where God guides, He provides and
what He has ordered, He will pay for. We feel honored to be entrusted with the
privilege of sharing the peace of God and the resurrection power of Jesus Christ
on the war torn island of Mindanao. We feel blessed to be able to give you the
opportunity to join us in this awesome task through your prayers and financial
support. As each one fulfills his or her part in God’s plan, Mindanao will be
filled with the peace of God that passes all understanding. Troubled souls will
be delivered from the darkness of Islam and paganism to dwell in the light of
the glorious Gospel of Christ. God is pouring out His Spirit on Mindanao.
Revival is about to break forth. Thousands of souls hang in the balance. Join us
in reaping this great harvest as we go into the fields as your partners, carried
along by your prayers and financed by your sacrificial giving. Together, let us
lay this harvest of souls at the feet of our Risen Savior and Lord Who paid such
a high price to purchase their redemption.
Right now we are about $3000 short of having all that we need to cover the
expenses for the trip. It looks like for the first time we may have to borrow
what we need to cover our airline tickets and the expenses for the peace
convention for the chieftains. Please pray for God’s provision.
